Heartbreaking, right?
We all like to think that the amount of effort we invest in creating a piece of content is directly related to how deeply it resonates with readers. However, experience has repeatedly shown that this is not the case.
So what's the deciding factor if it doesn't work?
luck? timing? Skill?
Yes, the above factors do play a part. But, more Latest Mailing Database often than not, it boils down to these two elements:
If your content doesn't hook the reader in the first few sentences, it's not as good as the rest of it, and you've lost them.
If you do not communicate your ideas clearly , readers may lose interest after your introduction because they are not motivated to continue reading.
So how do we write these two powerful hooks and one strong idea? That's what I'm going to break with you today.
What is a hook?
Hook is a narrative technique that operates exactly the same as voice.
It's information, and interestingly, it hooks the reader's attention, and they feel compelled to see what's next. So, they read on.
Hooks can be linked in tandem with headings; headings provide readers with the first line of items, and then hooks on these first few lines start readers with more in-depth snippets of content.
Any ideas?
The dictionary definition of a "idea" is:
"An idea or suggestion with a possible course of action."
This neatly summarizes what we want when we write about relationships. We want to share an idea, make a suggestion and/or inspire people to take some kind of action.
Why is the idea of your content so important?
Readers will get to keep reading your articles because your ideas drive returns.
This return can be:
laugh from your humor
learn new information
Take meaningful actions that will help them achieve their goals
This idea forms the backbone of your articles that lead to positive outcomes for you and your readers.
We make them far-fetched to share all the dreams of our ideas having such a big impact on people.
If people reading your words are not inspired to share with their friends, there is also a cap on how many people can reach.
Everything can go wrong in your mind
It might be easy to come up with an idea for a piece of content, but when we actually sit down and write:
We found that we didn't have many ideas to say because we thought first.
We started writing an idea, but then brought in halfway through.
In both cases, if we publish content, readers can be left feeling either bewildered or deceived at the end. not ideal.
How do you make your ideas super clear?
My favorite way is to start writing a very literal headline.
Why?
Because it forces you to be sure of the exact commitment you make the reader.
